MahaMathQuest 2011-12

MahaMathQuest is an initiative of SPARK MahaLearning Pvt. Ltd. It is our initiative to tap the budding Math Talent among school students of class VI-XII. This quiz is absolutely free of cost.

The contest is held in two rounds: the preliminary round is held online, and the selected students are then called for the final round.

Over the past two years, over 200,000 students have participated in MahaMathQuest. Students from schools of Chennai, other cities in India, and various schools in the UAE, Qatar, and other regions of the Gulf have taken this test.

Syllabus of Test
The preliminary round is entirely based on the NCERT syllabus. For each grade, the test is based on the portions covered in the previous grade (ie VI will write a test based on what they learnt in V grade, VII will write based on VI portions, and so on).

Duration of Test

The preliminary includes is a 20 minute test. From this, we will select students for the next final round.

Mode of Test
  The preliminary test is conducted online on MahaLearning’s website. The final round will be held at a common venue, where the selected students from the preliminary round will participate.

Pattern of Test
The test will consist of objective type questions only. The test is automated, and is evaluated instantly by the system. A comprehensive report, inclusive of score and feedback will be generated instantly, as soon as the student finishes the test.

Once registered, you can proceed with the test at any time convenient to you, perhaps even after several days, after the student feels he/she is prepared for the test.

MahaMathQuest in the Previous Years: An Overview

 

About MahaMathQuest 2009-10

MahaLearning conducted a city-wide Math talent hunt –MahaLearning Math Quest 2009-10-among school students of grade VI-XII in Chennai, India.

Over 120 schools and about 100000 students participated in the preliminary round . Students were shortlisted from each school and the final round was conducted online. From this, we selected a winner-‘MahaMathGenius 2009-10’ from each grade.

MahaMathGenius was, and is, an initiative to tap and encourage budding Math talent, and hence is free of cost.

The winners of MahaMathQuest 2009-10 from each grade, hailing from different schools across the city of Chennai,  were awarded the title ‘MahaMathGenius 2009-10’ by Shri G. K. Vasan (Honourable Minister of Shipping, Govt. of India). The award function was graced by various dignitaries from the Tamil Nadu education department.

 

 

About MahaMathQuest 2010-11:

A Math Talent Hunt for +2 students was conducted on 29.01.2011 at MCC School, Chetpet, Chennai.

In this event, about 1500 students participated. Our Subject Matter Experts also conducted an orientation program for +2 students on the same occasion. A cash prize of Rs. 5000/- was awarded to the winner.
